Somali is the southeasternmost region of Ethiopia, home to much of the country's Somali population. In recent years a borderline war has been going on between the Ethiopian government and the Ogaden guerilla movement. This conflict is one of the most under-publicized humanitarian disasters in the modern day, and travelers should keep their distance.
